Each quarter the Pet Alliance of Washington members will have a chance to apply to a fellowship, designed to assist welfare organizations with resources needed to increase the save rate of cats and dogs.

Application Process:

  1. Become a member 

  2. Complete fellowship application (The first project proposal period will be announced soon.)

Next steps:

  • The Pet Alliance of Washington Board will review all applications. You may be contacted if the board needs to gather additional information or perform a site visit.

  • Candidates will be notified of decisions within 4 weeks of submission deadline.

  • Please note: Members are not eligible for a second project proposal until the first accepted project is complete.

Pet Transfer

The Pet Alliance of WA is interested in connecting animal welfare organizations where pets can be helped through relocation within the State of Washington to shelters with high adoption demand. Join our pet adoption transfer network to help improve your shelter flow, manage costs, and improve live outcome through further collaboration.


Shelter Program Trainings

From foster-based rescues to large shelter operations, we are committed to helping organizations thrive by making positive changes in animal care and community relations. In order to help you increase your lifesaving ability, we can offer mentorships and trainings in any of the following areas:

  • Behavior modification

  • Dog playgroups

  • Kennel enrichment

  • Open adoptions

  • Pet retention

  • Volunteering & fostering

  • Working cats

Spay / Neuter Assistance

We believe that saving more lives starts with prevention. Through our strategic planning, mentorship and financing opportunities, we can provide assistance in the following areas:

  • Community Education

  • Public Spay/Neuter (Mobile, Transport, and Voucher programs)

  • Spay/Neuter prior to adoption shelter programs

  • Trap-Neuter-Return education, mentorship
